Good Cause NPO is a registered non-profit organisation in South Africa (NPO 262-603, PBO 930074466). We support animal welfare organisations through awareness, fundraising, and community mobilisation. We are not a shelter and do not rescue animals directly. We fund and amplify the organisations that do.
2. Acceptance of Terms

4.2 Payment processing — Donations are processed through our registered payment gateways: PayFast, Paysoft, and Netcash. Where banking details are provided for debit order donations, these are held securely and used only for processing your authorised donations. By donating, you agree to the applicable gateway’s terms of service.
4.3 Use of funds — Donations fund animal rescue, sterilisation, emergency relief, and awareness campaigns through our verified partner network. Good Cause complies with SARS requirements for registered PBOs.
4.4 No refund policy — All donations are final and non-refundable. If you believe a donation was made in error, contact info@goodcausecares.com within 48 hours and we will review on a case-by-case basis.
4.5 Tax receipts — Good Cause is a registered PBO (930074466). Donations may qualify for a Section 18A tax deduction. Contact info@goodcausecares.com to request a certificate.
5. Petition
By signing the Good Cause petition, you confirm that you are signing voluntarily and truthfully, and you consent to your name and general location being included in petition data submitted to relevant authorities. Good Cause will not share your petition details with third parties beyond the purpose of the campaign.
6. Intellectual Property
All content on this website — including text, images, logos, videos, and design — is the property of Good Cause NPO or is used with permission. You may not reproduce, modify, or distribute any content without prior written consent. Partner organisations retain rights to their own images, logos, and stories.
7. Charity and Rescue Submissions
If you submit an organisation for consideration, you confirm the information is accurate and you have authority to represent the organisation. Submission does not guarantee feature, funding, or support. Good Cause reserves the right to decline any submission.
8. Disclaimers
8.1 — Good Cause does not guarantee specific animal welfare outcomes beyond those reported in good faith based on partner data.
8.2 — Good Cause funds and amplifies partner organisations but is not responsible for the independent operations or decisions of those organisations.
8.3 — We aim to keep the website available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by South African law, Good Cause NPO shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of this website.
